Women’s Basketball: Danneka Voegeli
Voegeli played in 20 games in 2017, averaging just over two points per game. The Winona, Minn., native had the best game of her career on November 11 against New Hampshire. She scored 16 points and snared 11 rebounds in NDSU’s 56-51 victory over the Wildcats.

Football: Ross Kennelly
Taking over the long-snapping duties on special teams, Kennelly has been vital to NDSU’s special teams success this season. He made a solo tackle on special teams against North Alabama this season too.
What is the best Christmas gift you ever received?
Video game console with a football game – Ray Lewis was on the cover

Yes! How else would gifts show up under the tree Christmas morning?
Men’s Track And Field: J.T. Butler
Butler took a redshirt last indoor season. Therefore, he will be a senior in both the indoor and outdoor track & field season this year. In last year’s outdoor season, Butler ran a season-best 10.64 in the 100m dash on May 4. He is also a part of NDSU’s 4x100m relay team.
What is the best Christmas gift you ever received?
A lot of things come to mind! Thankfully my parents always paid close attention to my Christmas lists growing up. My parents and grandparents have helped me start a personal library with editions of authors I like to read. Really enjoy that!
Eggnog or hot chocolate?
Coffee!! (Hot chocolate is nice, too)
What is your favorite outdoor activity in the wintertime?
I remember sledding and building snow forts with my brother all the time!
Favorite holiday-themed movie?
Polar Express. Hoping to see The Grinch with my girlfriend!

Yes!! His reindeer like to eat carrots!
Women’s Track And Field: Macy Denzer
Hailing from Watertown, S.D., Denzer shined in her sophomore season last year. She placed fourth in the 60m hurdles at the Summit League Indoor Championships. Denzer followed that up with a fourth place finish in the javelin at the Summit League Outdoor Championships.
What is the best Christmas gift you ever received?
I remember getting a light bright when I was little. That was the best

Hot chocolate… with marshmallows!
What is your favorite outdoor activity in the wintertime?
Sledding because I have yet to get good at snowboarding or skiing

Elf. I can quote the entire movie word for word!

Santa definitely exists. He’s in the movie Elf like 100 times
Wrestling: Nico Colunga
The California native went 9-7 overall in 2017 with four tech falls. Wrestling at 144 pounds, he placed fifth at last year’s Bison Open. This season, Colunga went 2-2 at the Bison Open including victories over wrestlers from Minnesota and Arizona State.

A heating pad
